Dear San Juan County Public Hospital Board Commissioners,

Here’s a voice from someone concerned that dedicated local volunteers are being overlooked and not rewarded for their efforts. How about sending dollars their way instead of to for-profit entities less locally run by, no less, critical and dedicated local volunteers? Seems like a no-brainer to me. Thanks for your sincere consideration of giving elective dollars to the prevention coalition and the paramedicine programs. Please ask yourselves where the largest gap in funding really exists and are local volunteers the crux of the program? Key questions before final decisions.
