Submitted by the Town of Friday Harbor

The Park Street sewer and water main is being replaced by the Town of Friday Harbor, starting the week of May 1.

The crew will start working near the Price Street intersection. Traffic delays are anticipated.

The Price Street and Park Street intersection will be closed for an extended period of time as the contractor installs underground concrete structures. The closure will last approximately one full day.

Local vehicular will have access but expect up to 15 min delays. Pedestrians will also have access, but caution is advised due to heavy machinery. Flaggers will be on-site.

Drivers are asked to help ease congestion by using the detour route.

The contractor has implemented additional safety measures. Please obey traffic regulations, as traffic ticket fines double in construction zones.
