Carolyn Joyce (McGahuey) Clough was born on Aug. 31, 1934 in Aberdeen, Washington and died April 7, 2017 in Raymond, Washington.
She lived a full life in various places such as Montesano, Aberdeen, Vancouver and Friday Harbor, Washington; Portland and Oregon City, Oregon; Camp 20, Fort Bragg, California.
She enjoyed her time knitting, crocheting, and sewing, resulting in beautiful quilts. She loved to read books and was never without a book on her nightstand. She had a love for pigs and her collection of piggy items showed it.
Aunt Sis had no children but she was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews and was not afraid to discipline with a firm hand. She is preceded in death by her mother Adeline A. (Tanner) McGahuey, her father Leonard C. McGahuey, and her brother Stanley Alton McGahuey. She is survived by her sisters, Kennalee Bennett, Frances Nile, Lorna Teraghouci and Kerry Rabago.
Aunt Sis, will be deeply missed by all of us, her family, friends, and others who knew her. It is never good-bye, Aunt Sis because it won’t be long until we see you again with tremendous joy in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 22 at St. Mary of the Valley, 601 W. Columbia St., Monroe, Washington. Friends and family are welcome to join us.
