Correct me if I’m wrong, but in the coming days and weeks, all the people who were going to eat in downtown Friday Harbor, before the fire at Downriggers, are still going to eat there.
They are just going to eat somewhere else.
Since this will increase business at other Friday Harbor restaurants, doesn’t it make sense that those restaurants will need additional staff to handle the extra customers?
If every restaurant hired one or two of the old Downriggers staff, the unemployment situation caused by the fire could be partially corrected.
