A recent letter from Oscar Smaalders referenced Diane Martindale as president of the League of Women Voters of the San Juans.

I, as president, would like to clarify Diane’s position. Diane finished her term as president of LWVSJ in May of 2015. LWV members may act politically, but if they are in certain leadership positions, they may not. Diane strictly adhered to the rules and informed us at every step of the way of her transition from her past position as League President to that of general member. During her time as president, she scrupulously adhered to the non-partisan policy of the League.
