Samish back in service after morning of cancelled ferry routes due to needed repairs | Updated

The Samish is back in service with the 2:40pm sailing from Anacortes to Friday Harbor.

The Samish is back in service with the 2:40pm sailing from Anacortes to Friday Harbor.  Reservation holders will be prioritized on a first come, first serve basis for all departures.  Due to service disruptions, new reservations are temporarily unavailable for the remainder of the day. If unable to travel today, no-show fees will not be charged for unused reservations.

The Klahowya returned to its regular inter-island schedule beginning with a delayed 11:35 a.m. departure from Friday Harbor.

A ferry alert issued at this morning from Washington State Department of Transportation stated that the 9:30 a.m. westbound departure from Anacortes and the 8:05 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. eastbound sailings from Friday Harbor remain cancelled due to necessary repairs on the Samish. The international vessel Elwha provided unscheduled service between Anacortes and Friday Harbor while repairs on the Samish were performed.

The Klahowya’s eastbound 8:30 a.m. Friday Harbor, 9:15 a.m. Orcas, 9:30 a.m. Shaw, and westbound 9:55 a.m. Lopez, 10:15 a.m. Shaw, and 10:35 a.m. Orcas inter-island departures were cancelled due to schedule changes necessary with the Samish out of service.
