Let the (Games) coverage begin.
“Passport to Vancouver,” Sound Publishing Co.’s 2010 Winter Olympics news page, is now live at http://blogs.pnwlocalnews.com/olympics
A banner link will appear shortly on the front page of all Sound news sites, in the upper right-hand corner. Sound’s Olympics coverage coordinators are Megan Managan of the Mercer Island Reporter and Wesley Remmer of the Central Kitsap Reporter. Paul Balcerak of Sound Publishing’s Dynamic Media department is providing online support.
Seven Puget Sound athletes are expected to compete in Vancouver:
— JR Celski, speed skating, Federal Way.
— Nicole Joraanstad, curling, Kent.
— Scott Macartney, alpine ski, Redmond.
— Christian Niccum, luge doubles, Bothell/Kenmore.
— Apolo Ohno, speed skating, Seattle.
— Bree Schaff, bobsled, Bremerton.
— Ashley Wagner, figure skating, Seabeck (Central Kitsap).
Visit “Passport to Vancouver” for substantial features on each of the athletes and other pre-Games features.
Managan and Remmer will blog regularly throughout the Games, chronicling our Puget Sound athletes’ feats. Their work will be supplemented by content from our colleagues at Black Press
