Join members of the League of Women Voters of the San Juans on Jan. 12 for a panel discussion about local education budgets and the issues they pose for our community.

The forum is from noon to 2 p.m. at the San Juan Island Library.

The league will have a panel discussion with questions from the audience. Panelists are Michael Soltman, superintendent, San Juan Island School District; Bill Evans, superintendent, Lopez Island School District; Boyd Pratt, president, San Juan Island School Board; Paul Lebaron, chairman, Save Our Schools; and Deb Nolan, president, Friday Harbor High School PTA.

The event is open to the public.
