I strongly support Kari McVeigh for County Council member from District 1.

As Superintendent of Schools in Friday Harbor for two years, Kari demonstrated the very attributes that a Council member needs: ability to listen to and work with others, creativity in evolving solutions to complicated situations, fairness and support to employees. She also has experience, in former administrative positions in public education, with large state and local budgets and experience in planning as well as implementing them.

As San Juan County moves into the future, Kari brings a sense of perspective from living in urban environments in the past compared with her deep appreciation for the uniqueness of the San Juan Islands.
