My husband and I were shocked and disturbed to see a letter by Maureen Marinkovich falsely equating her concerns over access to private facilities for an event promoting false science (or no science), with ours, regarding attacks on members of our community for an event providing a queer-safe space and promoting healthy development and peer support.

Along with the American Academy of Pediatrics and numerous other rigorously scientific organizations and publications, we strongly support the medically and psychologically necessary treatment of our trans friends and neighbors so they can live their true selves.
